Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 70 years old (male or female)
- People whose general physical functioning is rated at a certain level by their doctor (an ECOG score of 2 or lower, meaning they are able to care for themselves but may not be able to do heavy physical work — confirm with trial site)
- People who have advanced or spreading kidney cancer, and who have previously received two lines of targeted therapy, have received no more than two rounds of immunotherapy (using PD-1/L1 treatments), or are unable to tolerate targeted therapy or immunotherapy
- People who have at least one area of cancer that can be measured or tracked on scans
- People whose liver, kidney, lung, and heart are functioning at an acceptable level based on blood and other tests
- People (or their legal guardians) who are willing to take part and have signed a consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have certain infectious diseases, such as HIV, active hepatitis B or C, or active tuberculosis
- People whose immune cells do not respond well enough in a laboratory test done during the screening process (confirm with trial site)
- People whose vital signs are unstable or who are unable to cooperate with medical examinations
- People who have a mental health condition that would prevent them from cooperating with treatment or assessments
- People who have a history of severe allergic reactions, particularly to a substance called IL-2
- People who currently have a serious infection that requires treatment
- People who have significant problems with the functioning of major organs such as the heart, lungs, brain, liver, or kidneys
- People who have another type of cancer in addition to kidney cancer
- People whose doctor identifies another reason that makes participation unsuitable
