Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (a specific type of lung cancer) that has been confirmed by a lab test, has not been treated before, and can be removed by surgery (stage II or IIIA, but not squamous cell type or a type linked to a gene change called EGFR mutation)
- You are generally well enough to carry out daily activities with little or no limitation (rated 0 or 1 on a standard health scale used by doctors)
- Your blood test results and lung function are good enough to safely have surgery
- You are willing to read and sign a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a specific type of lung cancer called Pancoast tumor, squamous cell carcinoma, large-cell carcinoma, or sarcomatoid carcinoma
- You currently have or have previously had an autoimmune disease (a condition where your immune system attacks your own body)
- You need to take steroid medicines like prednisone or other medicines that suppress your immune system on an ongoing basis
- You have had symptoms from a lung scarring or inflammation condition called interstitial lung disease
- You have had an allergic reaction to any ingredient in the study medicines
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- You are a man whose female partner is not willing to use contraception during the study
- You have previously received chemotherapy, anti-cancer drugs that target blood vessel growth, or immunotherapy for this or any past cancer
- You have received any previous treatment specifically for non-small cell lung cancer
- You have a mental health or psychological condition that would prevent you from completing the study or understanding the information provided
- You have had significant coughing up of blood in the past 4 weeks, or your tumor is growing into or very close to major blood vessels
- You are considered to be at high risk of serious bleeding
- You have had a blood clot in an artery, swollen veins in the food pipe, stomach ulcers, open wounds, or bone fractures
- You have been diagnosed with any other type of cancer, either currently or in the past
- You have HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or active tuberculosis
- You have other health conditions that, in the doctor's opinion, would make taking the study drug unsafe or make it hard to assess the effects of the treatment (confirm with trial site)
