Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are scheduled to have their uterus removed (hysterectomy) because of a growth or abnormality in the uterine muscle wall that is larger than 1cm (such as a fibroid, a localised area of adenomyosis, or a uterine sarcoma)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who do not wish to take part in the trial
- People under 18 years of age
- People who have many fibroids spread throughout the uterus (rather than one or a few distinct growths)
- People whose uterine muscle growth is smaller than 10mm in diameter
- People who are currently receiving treatment for another type of cancer
- People who also have a condition affecting the ovaries, the lining of the uterus (endometrium), or the cervix
