Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- You are able to read and understand a consent form, and are willing to sign it
- An MRI scan has shown a tumor (one that does not light up with contrast dye) that is affecting the movement control area on the non-dominant side of your brain (confirm with trial site)
- You have a reasonably good level of general functioning and ability to carry out daily activities, as measured by a standard health scale (confirm with trial site)
- You have normal or nearly normal muscle strength in the relevant parts of your body (at least a score of 3 out of 5 on a standard strength test)
- You have normal or nearly normal speech, meaning you can consistently name at least 4 out of 5 picture cards shown to you
- You do not have another illness that, in the doctor's opinion, may significantly shorten your life expectancy
- You are willing and able to take part in all parts of the study
Who may not be able to join:
- You have another cancer that has not gone into remission
- Your tumor affects both sides of the brain or has spread widely (confirm with trial site)
- You are considered to be at high medical risk for surgery
- You have had a recent infection of the scalp or anywhere else in your body
- You have other implants or foreign objects already present in your head
- You are unable to have an MRI scan for any reason
- You are unable to undergo brain surface stimulation during surgery for any reason (confirm with trial site)
- You have an implanted heart device, such as a pacemaker or defibrillator
