Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older
- Female participants must agree to use 2 forms of contraception during the study; male participants must use 1 form of contraception if their partner could become pregnant, during the study and for at least 5 months after the last treatment
- People with stage III or IV melanoma that has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic) and has come back (relapsed)
- People for whom a standard melanoma treatment has been recommended and is being given as part of their normal care
- People willing and able to have small skin samples (biopsies) taken from tumours, not from the face, skin folds, or lymph nodes, as required by the study
- People who have health insurance or are covered by a health insurance plan
- People able to understand the study and sign a consent form agreeing to participate
- People who agree to allow their biological samples (such as blood or tissue) to be stored and used for research, including genetic research
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently being treated for a blood cancer (such as leukaemia or lymphoma)
- People with a known history of an autoimmune condition (where the immune system attacks the body)
- People whose melanoma started in the eye (ocular melanoma)
- People who are under legal protection or guardianship orders (confirm with trial site)
- People who have taken immune-suppressing medications, including steroids (corticosteroids), in the 4 weeks before joining the trial
