Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are willing to take part and have signed a consent form agreeing to participate
- People aged between 18 and 70 years old
- People who have a strong clinical suspicion of oral cancer, or whose oral cancer has come back after previous treatment (newly diagnosed patients must be scheduled for surgery, or for pre-surgery treatment followed by surgery)
- People who are able to complete the required PET/CT scans at the start of the study and at follow-up appointments (follow-up scans using FAPI apply only to patients with more advanced cancer who are receiving pre-surgery treatment)
Who may not be able to join:
- Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the trial period
- People who have a known allergy to the imaging substances FAPI or FDG, or who have had a serious allergic reaction in the past
- People whose overall health is too poor, or whose heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, or other major organs are not strong enough to withstand surgery
- People whose blood sugar level was above 11.0 mmol/L after fasting, measured before the FDG injection
- People who experience severe anxiety in enclosed spaces (claustrophobia), or who are unable to lie still on their back for 15 to 30 minutes during the scan
- People who have taken part in another interventional clinical trial within the 30 days before enrolling, or who plan to join another such trial during this study
