Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia or lymphoma that has come back, did not respond well to initial treatment, or has shown signs of remaining disease after treatment, as measured by specific lab tests
- Your leukaemia has certain high-risk genetic features, such as specific gene changes identified by laboratory testing (confirm with trial site for the full list of features)
- You are unable to tolerate standard chemotherapy due to serious side effects or other health conditions
- Your breathing is mostly normal, with no more than mild shortness of breath and blood oxygen levels above 95% without extra oxygen
- Your heart is pumping well enough, as confirmed by a heart scan (echocardiogram) done within the last 3 months
- You are able to carry out at least some daily activities, as measured by a standard performance scale appropriate for your age
- Your kidneys are working at a normal level for your age, confirmed by a blood test within the last 3 months
- Your liver is functioning at an acceptable level, based on a specific liver enzyme blood test
- Your leukaemia cells show a certain level of a protein called CD19, which will determine which type of CAR T-cell treatment you may receive
Who may not be able to join:
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a positive pregnancy test
- You have a genetic condition affecting bone marrow function, such as Fanconi anaemia, Kostmann syndrome, or Shwachman syndrome (Down syndrome is an exception to this rule)
- You have had a previous cancer diagnosis, unless it was a very early-stage skin or cervical condition that was fully treated with no signs of return
- You currently have, or recently had within the last 8 weeks, active hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or any infection that is not under control
- You have tested positive for HIV within the last 8 weeks
- You are experiencing moderate to severe graft-versus-host disease (a complication that can occur after a stem cell transplant)
- You have taken part in another clinical trial and received an experimental treatment within the last 30 days
- Your disease continued to grow or came back after a previous CAR T-cell therapy treatment
