Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are between 18 and 55 years old (male or female)
  • You have been diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) as your main condition, based on standard diagnostic guidelines
  • Your main OCD symptoms involve contamination fears or concerns (such as fear of germs, dirt, or getting others sick)
  • Your contamination-related OCD symptoms score at a certain level of severity on a standard OCD rating scale (confirm with trial site)
  • You are either not taking any psychiatric medications, or you have been on a stable dose of certain approved medications (such as an SSRI or similar) for at least 4 weeks before joining — with no changes allowed during the study
  • If you use a benzodiazepine medication as needed, your usage has stayed roughly the same leading up to the trial
  • You have not recently started a new course of a specific type of OCD therapy (called Exposure and Response Prevention) within the last 4 weeks — though ongoing therapy started more than 8 weeks ago is allowed
