Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 or older
- People who have been diagnosed with a solid (non-blood) cancer
- People who have cancer that has spread to the brain (brain metastases), regardless of size
- People with any number of brain metastases — whether previously untreated or still growing after prior treatment — that can all be identified and targeted for treatment
- People who also have cancer present outside the brain
- People whose disease severity score, based on a specific brain metastasis assessment tool, is 2.0 or lower (confirm with trial site)
- People who are able to complete a standard quality-of-life questionnaire called the EQ-5D-5L
- People who are willing and able to attend regular scans for follow-up monitoring
- People for whom treatment can begin within 14 days of joining the trial
- People with a general health and function score (Karnofsky Performance Score) of 50 or above, meaning they are able to care for themselves at least some of the time (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are unable to have a brain MRI scan
- People who have had whole-brain radiation therapy less than 3 months before joining the trial
- People with a widespread form of cancer spread across the lining of the brain and spinal cord (limited spread to the outer brain lining may still be permitted — confirm with trial site)
- People who have multiple sclerosis
- People whose neurological condition is getting worse despite taking steroid medication
- People for whom surgery or a targeted radiation treatment called stereotactic radiosurgery is considered appropriate
- People with germ cell tumours or cancers that started in the brain
- People with certain autoimmune or connective tissue conditions — such as lupus or scleroderma — that are not currently in remission
- People with another serious illness or medical condition that the trial doctor believes would make participation unsafe or unmanageable
- People who are pregnant
- People who could potentially father or carry a child and are not willing to use highly effective contraception during the trial
