Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have not had a diagnostic bladder tumour removal procedure (TURBT) but whose biopsy or camera examination of the bladder suggests high-grade cancer, cancer in the lining of the bladder (CIS), multiple tumours, or a tumour larger than 3 cm — with specific scan scores and no signs of enlarged lymph nodes on MRI.
  • People who have had a diagnostic bladder tumour removal procedure (TURBT) and whose tissue results confirm high-risk bladder cancer that has not spread into the muscle wall, including specific categories of tumour stage, grade, or recurrence — and no signs of enlarged lymph nodes on MRI.
  • People whom the trial doctor has assessed as likely to benefit from surgical removal of the bladder (radical cystectomy).
  • People whose blood counts, kidney function, liver function, and blood clotting results fall within the ranges required by the trial (confirm specific values with the trial site).
  • People whose heart and lung function is considered suitable for major abdominal surgery, as assessed by the trial doctor.
  • People with no previous history of cancer, lymph node removal surgery, or immune system-related disease.
  • People aged between 18 and 75 years.
  • People who have not received any pre-surgery (neoadjuvant) treatment before joining.
  • People with a good general level of physical functioning, rated 0 or 1 on a standard medical scale (meaning fully active or able to carry out light activity).
  • People who are willing to take part voluntarily, can provide written consent, and are able to follow the trial schedule and requirements.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People whose bladder cancer has been confirmed by tissue testing or imaging to have reached a more advanced stage, or whose MRI shows enlarged lymph nodes in the pelvis.
  • People whom the trial doctor has assessed as unable to safely undergo surgical removal of the bladder.
  • People who have previously received chemotherapy or immunotherapy given throughout the body (systemic treatment).
  • People who have an active autoimmune disease requiring ongoing treatment, or another condition that requires long-term use of high-dose hormones or other immune-suppressing medicines.
  • People who have had major surgery or a serious physical injury within the 28 days before enrolling.
  • People who have received a live vaccine within the 28 days before enrolling.
  • People who have had a serious or ongoing infection requiring antibiotic, antifungal, or antiviral medicines within the 14 days before enrolling.
  • People who have taken any Chinese herbal medicine or traditional Chinese medicine products intended to treat cancer within the 14 days before enrolling.
  • People who are currently participating in another clinical trial.
