Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged between 18 and 75 years old
• Both men and women may be considered
• People whose general health and ability to carry out daily activities falls within an acceptable range, as assessed by their doctor using a standard scale (confirm with trial site)
• People with a confirmed diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma (a type of cancer) in the mouth — including the tongue, gums, cheek, floor of the mouth, hard palate, or the area near the back molars

• People who have at least one tumour that can be measured on a scan, according to standard medical measurement guidelines

Who may not be able to join:

• People who still have unresolved moderate or severe side effects from a previous cancer treatment
• People with a known allergy to any ingredient in the trial treatment
• People with a known history of another cancer, unless it was fully treated and has not returned for at least 5 years
• People who have previously had radiation therapy to the head or neck area
• People with a current serious active infection above a certain severity level (confirm with trial site)
• People who had a significant heart-related event — such as a heart attack, a major heart condition, or a blocked vein near the heart — in the 3 months before joining
• People currently receiving any treatment that works through the immune system, for any reason
• People with a history of active bleeding, a blood clotting disorder, or who are currently taking a blood-thinning medication called coumarin
• People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
• People with high blood pressure that cannot be controlled, or who have had a stroke, heart attack, unstable chest pain, significant heart failure, or a serious irregular heartbeat within the 6 months before screening — or where these conditions cannot be adequately managed
• People with a severe or uncontrolled infection, a known HIV infection, or a diagnosis of AIDS; or people with an uncontrolled autoimmune disease; or people who have had an organ, tissue, stem cell, bone marrow, or solid organ transplant
• People who have taken part in another clinical trial within the 30 days before joining
• People whom the trial investigators consider unsuitable for any other reason
