Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who score 25 or higher on a standard PTSD symptom scale called the CAPS
- People whose trauma came from a single event (rather than repeated events)
- People who can understand, read, and write in Swedish
- People who have long-term chronic pain that significantly affects their daily life
- People who have had a full medical check-up and received any necessary medical treatment
- People who are able to actively take part in a rehabilitation programme for around 5 hours each week, working toward recovery across different areas of life
- People who are on a stable, unchanged dose of any medication they take
- People who have access to a smartphone or computer with an internet connection
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose trauma involved repeated or extensive traumatic events
- People who have another serious or active mental health condition that would need to be treated as the main priority — such as ongoing substance dependence, untreated bipolar disorder, OCD, psychotic symptoms, or severe depression
- People who are currently misusing pain medications (including opioids), alcohol, or other drugs
- People who have significant difficulty managing intense emotions in ways that could lead to emotional outbursts or self-harm
- People who have health risks related to medical conditions (confirm with trial site)
- People who are facing serious social or financial difficulties, or who lack social support, in ways that would prevent behaviour change
- People who are currently experiencing severe thoughts of suicide that require immediate help (as measured by a specific assessment tool and a score of 3 on question 9 of the PHQ-9 questionnaire)
