Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who are willing to give their consent to take part in the study
- People who have had endometriosis confirmed by keyhole surgery (laparoscopy) or ultrasound
- People who have had ongoing pain related to endometriosis for more than 3 months and are available to receive TENS treatment (a device that uses mild electrical signals to help manage pain)
- People who are on a stable hormonal medication specifically for endometriosis, where that medication has not changed in the last 3 months, and where no surgical procedures for endometriosis are planned in the next 7 months
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are unable to understand or use written and spoken Swedish
- People who have a pacemaker, an implantable defibrillator (ICD), or any other electronic implant in their body
- People who have reduced or altered feeling/sensation over the area where they experience pain
- People who have a serious illness (such as cancer) where life expectancy is expected to be less than 12 months
- People with a current alcohol or substance abuse problem
- People with a serious, untreated psychiatric or psychological condition that is considered the main cause of their symptoms
- People who are already taking part in another intervention study that could affect the results of this trial
- People who are using high-dose opioid pain medication above a certain threshold (more than 90 morphine equivalents per day) (confirm with trial site)
- People who are currently receiving electro-acupuncture treatment
- People who are pregnant
