Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are 18 years of age or older
  • People who have been diagnosed with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (a type of lung cancer) at a late stage (stage IIIB or IV), specifically the squamous or non-squamous subtypes, and whose cancer has tested negative for certain gene mutations (EGFR, ALK, and ROS1)
  • People whose general health is rated as good or fully active, based on a standard medical scoring system called the ECOG scale (score of 0 or 1)
  • People who have received immunotherapy as their first treatment, either alone or in combination with other therapies
  • People whose cancer did not progress for at least 12 months while on immunotherapy (considered long-term benefit)
  • People for whom a tumor tissue sample can be collected at the time of joining the trial, allowing at least 5–10 sample sections to be made, with tumour cells making up at least 10% of the sample — or where a specific genetic test (NGS fixed-panel) is available — or alternatively, people for whom no tumour tissue sample is available at all (confirm with trial site)
  • People who have at least one measurable area of cancer that can be tracked using standard imaging guidelines (except those whose cancer fully disappeared after first-line treatment)
  • People who are able to understand the study, are willing to take part voluntarily, and are able to sign a consent form
  • People who are willing and able to cooperate with sample collection at required time points and provide relevant medical information throughout the study

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have serious existing disease affecting the heart, liver, or kidneys
  • People who have had another type of cancer within the 3 years before their lung cancer diagnosis
  • People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • People who have an active HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection
  • People who currently have an active widespread infection, pneumonia, tuberculosis, or inflammation around the heart (pericarditis)
  • People who are unable to understand the study, are unwilling to cooperate, or who decline to sign the consent form
