Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older
- People who are able to give their informed consent to participate
- People who have been diagnosed with a type of irregular heartbeat called non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF), whether it comes and goes, has lasted a long time, or is permanent

- People who currently have a blood clot in a specific part of the heart (the left atrial appendage)
- People who have a certain type of unstable fatty deposit in the main artery leaving the heart (confirm with trial site)
- People who are pregnant
- People who have not given informed consent to participate
- People who are already taking part in another clinical trial
- People whose life expectancy is estimated to be less than 2 years
