Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are between 18 and 74 years old
  • You had COVID-19 that was confirmed by a PCR test (nose/throat swab or lung sample)

Who may not be able to join:

  • You are legally protected, under guardianship, or under court-appointed supervision
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have a medical reason why you cannot have a PET scan or MRI scan
  • Your kidneys are not working well enough (confirm with trial site)
  • You have a medical reason why you cannot receive the imaging substance [18F]-DPA-714 used in the study (confirm with trial site)
  • When you were first admitted to intensive care, you already had a serious neurological condition such as a stroke, a severe head injury, or dementia that affected your ability to live independently
