Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with a low-grade brain tumour (graded 2 or lower by WHO standards) through medical imaging, either since 1998 (for the past-records group) or recently (for the ongoing group)
  • People who had no symptoms when they first visited the hospital for this brain tumour
  • People whose doctors determined, based on current medical knowledge, that immediate treatment was not necessary at the time of their first hospital visit
  • People who have had two or more MRI scans taken at least 3 months apart (for the past-records group), or who are planning to have follow-up MRI scans (for the ongoing group)
  • People who have not previously had radiation therapy or radiosurgery for their brain tumour
  • People aged 18 or older
  • People who provide written consent to take part (for the ongoing group)

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who did not return for a second MRI scan after their first one
  • People whose symptoms worsened within 3 months of their first MRI scan, requiring immediate treatment
  • People whose follow-up MRI scans suggest the brain lesion may not actually be a tumour
