- People who are older than 18 years of age
- People who have been diagnosed with chronic hepatitis B
Who may not be able to join:
- People who also have chronic hepatitis C, hepatitis D, or HIV
- People who drink alcohol heavily (more than 30 grams per day for men, or more than 20 grams per day for women)
- People who have other long-term liver conditions, such as primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, autoimmune hepatitis, or Wilson's disease
- People who are currently taking certain medications known to cause fat build-up in the liver, including corticosteroids, methotrexate, or tamoxifen
- People who are pregnant
