Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People diagnosed with a specific type of head and neck cancer (squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity, oropharynx, larynx, or hypopharynx) that is at an advanced local stage (Stage III or IVA) and has not spread to other parts of the body, confirmed by tissue or cell testing

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with an active, known, or suspected autoimmune disease, Type 1 diabetes, hypothyroidism needing hormone replacement, or skin conditions requiring systemic (whole-body) treatment
  • People currently taking steroid medication at a dose higher than 10 mg per day of prednisone (or equivalent), or any other immune-suppressing medication, within 14 days before joining
  • People with active Hepatitis B (with specific virus levels above a set threshold), active Hepatitis C, or HIV
  • People with an active tuberculosis (TB) lung infection, as determined by chest imaging, sputum testing, and physical examination
  • People with serious heart conditions, including heart failure, difficult-to-control dangerous heart rhythm problems, unstable chest pain, recent heart attack, or high blood pressure that cannot be managed
  • Women who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
  • People who are able to have children but are unwilling to use effective contraception during the trial
  • People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial or have recently received an experimental treatment or used an experimental medical device
  • People who have had another known invasive cancer or a cancer that cannot be surgically removed
  • People who have received a live vaccine within 30 days before the planned start of the trial treatment
  • People whose medical history, current health conditions, or test results might affect the trial results or make participation not in their best interest, as judged by the treating doctor
