Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 years or older (required for all groups in the trial)
- People who are scheduled to have a brain MRI scan with a contrast dye injection as part of their regular medical care (Group 1)
- People who have been diagnosed with a suspected brain tumour called a glioma and are scheduled for a brain MRI as part of their regular medical care (Group 2)
- People with a confirmed or suspected glioma who have been referred for a tumour biopsy or surgical removal (Group 3)
- People who have given their written agreement to take part in the trial
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a medical reason why they cannot have an MRI scan
- People who have reduced kidney function, due to the risk of a serious condition called nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF) that can be associated with the contrast dye used in MRI scans
- People who are pregnant
- People in Group 1 who are already taking part in another medical protocol that requires scanning to take place during the contrast dye injection
