Who might be able to join this trial:
- People diagnosed with Stage I or Stage II primary lung cancer, with a single nodule (small growth) up to 3 cm in size, confirmed by a previous tissue or cell sample
- People whose nodule or tumour type and whether it is cancerous has been confirmed through a tissue or cell sample that meets the testing laboratory's standards
- People whose nodule or tumour can be reached using a guided camera tube (navigational bronchoscopy) and whose nodule location can be confirmed during the procedure using a specialised type of X-ray imaging
- People who have been assessed as suitable for surgery to remove part or all of a lung (lobectomy or a larger operation)
- People who are at least 22 years old and are able to give their own consent to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People for whom a flexible camera tube procedure through the airways (flexible bronchoscopy) is considered medically unsafe
- People whose target nodule is smaller than 1.0 cm
- People who have previously had radiation therapy or chemotherapy directed at the target nodule or tumour
- People with other health conditions that the trial doctor believes could affect their safety or the results of the study
- People who have a pacemaker, an implantable heart device, or any other electronic implanted device
- People who are unable to tolerate the bronchoscopy procedure
- People with a blood clotting disorder
- People who are currently participating in another therapeutic lung cancer study
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who test positive for COVID-19 at the time of the procedure
