Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are over 18 years of age
- You have been diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) by a doctor
- Your doctor has recommended you start a specific type of medication called a DMARD, and if your main symptoms are in your spine or tendons/ligament attachment points, you have already tried at least 2 anti-inflammatory painkillers (such as ibuprofen or naproxen) for a total of at least 4 weeks
- You meet a specific set of recognised medical criteria used to confirm a diagnosis of Psoriatic Arthritis (called the CASPAR criteria) (confirm with trial site)
Who may not be able to join:
- Your joint inflammation (arthritis) was confirmed more than 1 year before joining the trial

- You have used steroid tablets or injections taken throughout the body (systemic steroids) in the last 3 months
- You have had a steroid injection directly into a joint or affected area in the last 4 weeks
- You have serious other health conditions, such as certain cancers, severe diabetes, serious or frequent infections, uncontrolled high blood pressure, severe heart disease, severe breathing problems, or severe liver scarring (cirrhosis)
- You have signs of active or latent (hidden/inactive) tuberculosis (TB), unless you have already completed an adequate course of treatment for latent TB
- You have any other medical condition that your doctor or local guidelines say would make it impossible to follow the treatment plan (confirm with trial site)
- Your kidney function is significantly reduced, based on blood test results showing levels outside specified limits (confirm with trial site for exact values)
- Your liver function is significantly reduced, or you have active or recent hepatitis (liver inflammation), based on blood test results
- You have significantly low levels of red blood cells, white blood cells, or platelets in your blood
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study, or you are not using adequate contraception
- You have a condition or implant that means you cannot safely have an MRI scan
- You have a serious psychiatric or mental health condition, problems with alcohol or drug use, significant language barriers, or any other factor that would make it impossible to follow the study plan
- You have been diagnosed with or are suspected to have a widespread pain condition such as fibromyalgia
