Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with PTSD, confirmed through a structured clinical interview called the Clinician Administered PTSD Scale (based on standard psychiatric guidelines).

Who may not be able to join:

- People who are currently experiencing thoughts of suicide or harming others, with a specific plan or intention to act on those thoughts.
- People who currently have a moderate or severe substance use disorder, meaning four or more diagnostic symptoms of substance use problems are present according to standard psychiatric guidelines.
- People who have previously received a specific type of therapy for PTSD called Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), or who are currently receiving any other therapy for PTSD.
- People whose thinking and memory abilities score below the 10th percentile on a standard cognitive assessment test called the Montreal Cognitive Assessment.
- People with a history of moderate or severe traumatic brain injury, assessed using a specific identification method and military health guidelines.
- People whose verbal memory ability scores more than one standard deviation above the average population score on a specific memory test called the California Verbal Learning Test (Third Edition) (confirm with trial site).
