  • People who have developed moderate to severe kidney injury (stages 2 or 3) as a result of heart surgery

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have long-term (chronic) kidney disease
  • People whose heart is not pumping well enough (with an ejection fraction below 45%, meaning the heart is significantly weakened)
  • People who have advanced liver scarring (cirrhosis rated as Child B or C)
