Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 75 years old
- People who have previously received a liver transplant
- People who have developed new protein in their urine (measured on at least two separate occasions) and/or a decline in kidney function (measured on at least two separate occasions) and/or a significant rise in a blood marker of kidney function called creatinine
- People who have had a kidney tissue sample (biopsy) taken within the past 3 months
- People who have read and signed a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have received a kidney transplant
- People with liver failure
- People with a serious risk of bleeding, or who have a low platelet count in their blood
- People with significantly reduced kidney function, or who have a shrunken kidney, a single kidney, certain structural kidney conditions (such as medullary sponge kidney, polycystic kidney disease, or a blockage affecting the kidneys) (confirm with trial site)
- People with a mental health condition that is not well controlled, or who may have difficulty cooperating during procedures
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People the trial investigators consider unsuitable for the study for other reasons (confirm with trial site)
