Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 to 64 years old

- People with cirrhosis (severe liver scarring), whether mild or advanced, including those with a fibrosis (scarring) score of 4 on a standard liver disease scale
- People who have lost 5% or more of their body weight in the past 90 days
- People who are currently fasting for 12 or more hours a day on most days of the week
- People who are pregnant
- People whose mental state may make it difficult to give valid consent or follow the study requirements
- People who are unable to have an MRI scan or complete other study procedures (confirm with trial site)
- People who cannot safely do extended fasting for medical reasons, such as those on certain insulin regimens
