Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 89 years old
- People who have been diagnosed with, or are suspected to have, a brain tumour called a glioma (Grade II through IV, based on World Health Organization classification), as confirmed by a doctor
- People who have not yet received any treatment for this condition, apart from a previous biopsy
- People who are already planning to have surgery to remove or biopsy their brain tumour
- People whose tumour provides enough tissue for at least two biopsy samples to be taken during surgery
- People who are able to read and write in English
- People who are able to lie flat on their back for up to 80 minutes
- People who are able to stay still during an MRI scan
- People who have signed the consent form for the study, or whose legal authorised representative has signed it on their behalf
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a condition that would prevent them from having an MRI scan, such as claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces), a pacemaker, metal objects inside the body, or pregnancy
- People who have a serious or unstable physical or mental health condition
- People whose tumour does not provide enough tissue for at least two biopsy samples during surgery
- People who have a medical reason that prevents them from safely taking part in any part of the study procedures
- People who have not signed the informed consent form, or who do not understand its contents (this also applies where a legal authorised representative is involved)
- People who are pregnant
- People considered at high risk of a condition called NSF — based on specific kidney function test results — and who are unable to follow the required dosing guidelines for the MRI contrast dye used in this study (confirm with trial site)
