Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People aged 35 years or older.
  • People who have had a CT scan that incidentally (unexpectedly) found at least one solid or mostly solid lung nodule (a small growth in the lung) that is not fully made up of calcium deposits, and measures between 5mm and 30mm at its widest point.
  • People whose CT scan includes at least one image series that meets the technical requirements for the software being studied, taken during a full breath-hold, without significant contrast dye in the scan, and without image quality problems such as movement blur (training on these requirements will be provided by the trial site).

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have been diagnosed with cancer within the last 5 years.
  • People who have implants in the chest area that affect how the lung nodule appears on a scan.
  • People who have more than five lung nodules of any size or type, not counting nodules that are fully made up of calcium deposits.
  • People who have one or more additional nodules that are already being monitored under standard medical care for lung nodules.
  • People who have one or more additional nodules that are purely hazy or "cloudy" in appearance on the scan (called pure ground glass opacity) and measure 5mm or more at their widest point.
  • People who have one or more additional nodules larger than 30mm at their widest point.
