- People who have a tumor inside the skull (any type)
- People who have a cavernoma (a cluster of abnormal blood vessels in the brain)
- People who have an arteriovenous malformation (an abnormal tangle of blood vessels in the brain)
- People who have had a spontaneous (non-injury-related) bleed inside the brain
- People who have had a traumatic (injury-caused) bleed inside the brain
- The condition must be located in the upper part of the brain (above the brainstem)
- The condition must be newly diagnosed
- People aged 18 to 100 years
- People whose heart and blood pressure are stable
- People for whom a brain-mapping navigation tool used during surgery can be set up with a positioning error of no more than 2 mm (confirm with trial site)

- People whose brain is rapidly shifting out of its normal position, which can be a sign of a dangerous, fast-moving emergency
