Who might be able to join this trial:
For patients:
- People who have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, unipolar depression, schizophrenia, or autism spectrum disorder (based on recognised diagnostic standards called DSM IV criteria)
- People aged 18 or older
- People enrolled in the French social security system
- People who are under legal guardianship or a similar form of legal protection (called curatorship) are also eligible
- People already participating in the Fondation FondaMental research group whose genetic results have shown a need for further genetic comparison and study
- People who have signed the study consent form
For family members of patients:
- People aged 18 or older who are a relative of a patient already participating in the Fondation FondaMental research group
- People enrolled in the French social security system
- People under legal guardianship or a similar form of legal protection (curatorship) are also eligible
- People who have signed the study consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose overall health or circumstances, in the judgment of the trial doctor, would make participation unsuitable or make it difficult to follow the study requirements
- People who are currently detained or imprisoned
- People who are unable to understand French
