Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 or older
- People who have had their condition for 25 years or less
- People whose level of permanent disability is 7 or below on a standard MS disability scale (meaning they are not permanently confined to a wheelchair)
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have another progressive neurological disease (separate from MS)
- People who have only incidental findings on brain scans without a confirmed MS diagnosis (known as Radiologically Isolated Syndrome)
- People with severe, unstable psychiatric conditions
- People who have changed their dose, stopped, or started a psychiatric medication within the last month
- People who have changed their main MS treatment within the last 3 months
- People who have had a course of steroid treatment (by mouth or through a drip) within the last month
- People who cannot safely have an MRI scan — this includes those who are pregnant, or who have certain metal implants or electronic medical devices in their body, such as a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, cochlear implants, certain neurostimulators, metallic eye fragments, metallic heart valves, vascular clips, or similar devices (confirm with trial site if unsure whether a specific implant applies)
- People who are unable to read or write in French, or who do not speak French
- People in certain protected legal categories, including those under 18, people whose liberty is restricted by a court or government order, people living in a health or social care facility, adults under legal guardianship, or people in an emergency medical situation
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and women of childbearing age for whom effective contraception is not in place (hormonal, mechanical, or surgical methods are listed as acceptable — confirm with trial site for specifics)
