- You have been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF), shown either by a sweat test result of 60 or above, or by having two CF-causing gene changes identified through genetic testing
- You have been diagnosed with another type of lung disease by a doctor
- You are a healthy person with no known lung disease
- You or your parent/legal guardian are able to give consent to take part
- In the study doctor's opinion, you are likely to be able to complete the breathing test on the day it is scheduled

- You have physical signs at your initial check-up that could put your safety at risk or affect the quality of the study results (for example, you are having significant difficulty breathing)
- You need extra oxygen to keep your blood oxygen levels above 95%
- You are a healthy volunteer but show signs of having a lung disease
