Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 to 90 who have been diagnosed with a gynecological tumour (either non-cancerous or cancerous) and are scheduled for surgery expected to last at least 2 hours
- People who have had a chest CT scan (a type of detailed X-ray) within the week before their planned surgery
- People who meet at least one of the following conditions:
- A score of 45 points or more on a specific breathing risk assessment tool called ARRSPC (confirm with trial site)
- A Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or above (considered obese range)
- A diagnosis of moderate to severe asthma
- A diagnosis of moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a long-term lung condition

Who may not be able to join:
- People who have cancer that has spread to the lungs, or who have a primary cancer that started in the lungs
- People who have previously had lung surgery or radiation treatment to the lungs
- People whose planned surgery involves removing a section of the bowel
