Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been recently diagnosed with a specific type of nasopharyngeal (throat/nasal area) cancer confirmed by a tissue biopsy, classified as the non-keratinizing type according to World Health Organization guidelines
- People whose cancer has been staged as Stage III to Stage IVb based on the 8th edition of the AJCC staging system
- People aged between 18 and 65 years old
- People whose blood count results are within normal ranges (sufficient red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets)
- People whose liver function test results are within acceptable ranges
- People whose kidney function test results are within acceptable ranges
- People whose general physical health is rated as 0 or 1 on the ECOG scale, meaning they are either fully active or have only minor limitations in physical activity (confirm with trial site)
- People who have not previously received radiotherapy or chemotherapy for this condition
- People who are willing and able to provide signed informed consent to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose cancer continues to grow or spread during the course of treatment
- People who have another serious illness that is not currently under control
- People who have previously received radiotherapy or chemotherapy
- People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
