Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are older than 18 years of age
- People who have a solid tumour (a type of cancer that forms a lump or mass) confirmed by tissue testing or imaging scans
- People for whom doctors have recommended surgery to remove one brain metastasis (a cancer growth that has spread to the brain)
- People whose overall health and ability to carry out daily activities meets a minimum functional score, known as a Karnofsky Performance Status of 70 or above (confirm with trial site)

- People with between 1 and 4 brain metastases in total

- People who are able to provide written agreement to participate in the trial
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously had whole-brain radiation therapy (a treatment that delivers radiation across the entire brain)
- People whose overall health and functional ability falls below the minimum Karnofsky Performance Status score of 70
- People diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, germ cell tumours, or cancers affecting the lymphatic system (such as lymphoma)
- People who are pregnant
- People who have previously had open brain surgery for cancer
- People with more than 4 brain metastases
- People who are unable to have an MRI scan for any reason
