Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged 18 years or older
• People diagnosed with a type of throat cancer (oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma) that tests positive for a protein called p16

• People with a life expectancy of more than 36 months (3 years)

• People who received any treatment aimed at curing their cancer
• People whose cancer showed a complete response 3 months after finishing treatment — this means one of the following was true:
  • The HPV16 marker was no longer detectable in the blood, and imaging showed no remaining cancer; or
  • The HPV16 marker was no longer detectable, imaging looked uncertain, but further testing (biopsy or follow-up scan) confirmed no remaining cancer; or
  • The HPV16 marker was still detectable after treatment but became undetectable on a follow-up blood test done 1–2 months later, with no cancer visible on imaging
• People enrolled in a Social Security system or equivalent health coverage
• People who have signed a written consent form before any trial procedures begin (if someone is physically unable to sign, a trusted person of their choice may confirm consent in writing, provided that person is not connected to the research team)

Who may not be able to join:

• People with a serious ongoing illness that could interfere with following the trial's requirements
• People who have had another invasive cancer within the past 3 years (certain non-invasive skin cancers or breast ductal carcinoma in situ that were fully removed by surgery may be exceptions — confirm with trial site)
• People who have had any other HPV-related cancer within the past 5 years
• People with any condition that could affect safe participation in the trial, including people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or not using contraception (for men and women who could potentially have children)
• People who are unwilling or unable to follow the trial's procedures and follow-up schedule
• People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial involving an experimental treatment, or who have done so in the 30 days before joining this trial (exceptions may apply in certain circumstances — confirm with trial site)
