Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must have already taken part in a specific related study called DB1 (049-2021) or DB3 (009-2021)
- You must be able to speak and understand English
- You must be between 14 years old and 26 years and 11 months old
- You must have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder confirmed through a structured interview, OR have a biological parent or sibling diagnosed with bipolar disorder (type I or II)
- You must currently be seeing a psychiatrist for ongoing mental health care
- If you have bipolar disorder type I, you must be taking at least one mood-stabilizing medication (such as an antipsychotic, lithium, or certain anti-seizure medications used for mood)
- You must be willing and able to give your agreement to take part in the study
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a serious, life-threatening physical health condition that needs immediate medical treatment
- You are currently experiencing sexual or physical abuse
- You currently have a significant problem with substance use (such as drugs other than mild cannabis or alcohol use issues)
- You have an intellectual disability, moderate to severe autism, or a brain-related condition that would make it difficult to actively take part in the therapy used in this study (confirm with trial site)
