Who might be able to join this trial:
- People with a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or below (BMI is a measure based on height and weight)
Who may not be able to join:
- People whose body weight has changed by 5% or more in the past six months
- People with a known serious heart, neurological, kidney, liver, or metabolic condition (such as diabetes)

- People with asthma who have very low awareness of their own symptoms, frequent severe episodes, or an unusually low ability to sense breathlessness
- People with a ruptured eardrum or other ear condition
- People with significantly increased pressure or volume in the left side of the heart (confirm with trial site)
- People whose heart failure symptoms got worse after a breathing muscle training session
- People currently experiencing a cold, sinus infection, or respiratory tract infection
- People who are not yet adults, including infants, children, and teenagers
- People who are pregnant (confirmed by self-report and a urine test), breastfeeding, or post-menopausal (as self-reported) — this criterion applies to females only
- People who are currently incarcerated
