Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are between 18 and 65 years old
• You are either a healthy volunteer OR you have been diagnosed with Long COVID (also called post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2, or PASC)
• A specific genetic test (related to a protein called TSPO) shows you are a "high" or "mixed" affinity binder (this will be tested as part of screening)
• If you have Long COVID: you previously had a confirmed COVID-19 infection, and your neurological symptoms (such as brain fog, headaches, or other nerve-related issues) have been present for at least four weeks before joining the study
• If you are a healthy volunteer: you have no neurological symptoms

Who may not be able to join:

• You have a reason you cannot safely have an MRI scan (for example, certain metal implants)
• You are pregnant
• You are currently breastfeeding
• Your medical condition is too severe to take part in the imaging/scanning portion of the study
• You have a long-term infectious disease such as HIV or Hepatitis C
• You have had a viral or bacterial illness needing medical treatment or antibiotics within the past month
• You have been diagnosed with cancer, including leukemia
• You have a blood disorder or a blood clotting disorder
• You have an autoimmune disease — unless that condition is Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which is allowed
• A pregnancy hormone test (urine or blood) comes back positive on or just before the procedure day
• You are currently enrolled in another clinical trial using experimental treatments
• You are currently taking any experimental treatments
• The same TSPO genetic test shows you are a "low affinity binder" (confirm with trial site)
• You report a history of moderate or severe traumatic brain injury
• You report a history of whiplash injury
• You report a history of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) — note: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) with no signs of inflammation is generally allowed
• Your blood test results at screening fall outside acceptable ranges, including: high levels of inflammation markers, signs of infection or anemia, abnormal thyroid levels, fasting blood sugar above 100 mg/dL, or results suggesting organ damage (confirm specific values with trial site)
• You have used illegal substances within the past 6 months
• You have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
• If you are a healthy volunteer: you regularly take over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications, painkillers (other than aspirin), or sleep aids
