Who might be able to join this trial:
Child Care Centers:
- The center must be open all year round
- The center must be licensed and have no plans to close within the next 2 years
- The center must have been running for at least 1 year
- The center must have at least two classrooms for children aged 2 to 5 years old
- The center must serve lunch to children aged 2 to 5 years old
- The center must not have taken part in the Go NAPSACC program in the last 6 months
- At least two teachers from the 2-5-year-old classrooms and 4 parents from each classroom must agree to take part in the study
Child Care Staff (Directors and Teachers):
- Must be able to give their own consent to take part
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Teachers only: Must be teaching in a classroom with children aged 2 to 5 years old
- Teachers only: Must not be pregnant or planning to become pregnant in the next year
Children:
- Must be in a classroom with a teacher who is taking part in the study
- Must be between 2 and 5 years old
- The main caregiver who gives permission must be able to read English
Who may not be able to join:
- Child care centers that only serve families who do not speak English
