Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are an adult who is scheduled to have endoscopic (minimally invasive, through the nose) surgery to remove a pituitary tumor, including non-functioning adenoma, acromegaly-related tumors, prolactinoma, or Rathke's cleft cyst
- You are between 18 and 85 years old
- You speak English and are able to complete two specific nasal/sinus symptom questionnaires (called ASK Nasal-12 and SNOT-22)
- You do not have any physical, mental, or medical condition that the study doctor feels would make it unsafe or unsuitable for you to take part
- Your planned surgery will go through both nostrils
- You may or may not need a tissue flap used to repair the surgical area
- You may or may not need a procedure to straighten the wall inside your nose (septoplasty)
Who may not be able to join:
- You currently have an active sinus infection or active sinusitis
- You have allergic rhinitis (hay fever or nasal allergies)
- You have asthma
- You have a vascular (blood vessel) or inflammatory disease
- You have had previous surgery on your sinuses or nasal passages
- You are unwilling or unable to sign a consent form for the study
- You are pregnant
- You are currently incarcerated
- You have Cushing's disease
- You have a history of chronic (long-term) sinusitis
- Your surgery involves a more complex, extended approach to the base of the skull (confirm with trial site)
- You have nasal polyps (small growths inside the nose)
- You are currently taking antibiotics for another condition (for example, a urinary tract infection)
- You have a weakened immune system or immune deficiency condition
- You have previously had radiation treatment to the base of your skull
