Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 years or older
- People who have had 2 or more skin cancers (specifically a type called squamous cell carcinoma, confirmed by a skin sample/biopsy) in the past 2 years, OR who have had a medical procedure recorded for the removal or destruction of 15 or more skin lesions that were either benign (non-cancerous) or pre-cancerous
- People who can read, write, and understand English proficiently

- People with Gorlin's syndrome or another inherited (genetic) skin cancer condition
- People with a very large number of current skin cancers (confirm with trial site for specific threshold)
- People who have had a spreading (metastatic) skin squamous cell carcinoma, or an invasive melanoma, within the past 5 years
- People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who need to continue taking the medication carbamazepine (used for conditions such as epilepsy or nerve pain)
- People who have used acitretin or similar oral medications (oral retinoids) within the past 6 months
- People who have taken supplement forms of NAM (nicotinamide), niacin, vitamin A, or beta carotene within the past 6 months
- People who have had a field treatment for pre-cancerous skin lesions (actinic keratoses) within the past 4 weeks
- People who are currently using topical (applied to the skin) steroid creams or ointments
