Who might be able to join this trial:

  • You are over 18 years old
  • You have a non-cancerous (benign) thyroid nodule that was treated with a heat-based procedure called radiofrequency thermoablation approximately 24 to 48 months ago (between 2 and 4 years ago), regardless of whether the nodule has stayed the same size, grown, or shrunk
  • You are willing and able to sign a consent form agreeing to take part
  • You are enrolled in the French social security system (note: AME — state medical aid for undocumented residents — does not qualify)

Who may not be able to join:

  • Women who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding
  • People who have previously had alcohol injected into their thyroid nodule as a treatment
  • People who take a type of blood-thinning medication called anti-vitamin K anticoagulants (such as warfarin)
  • People who take another type of blood-thinning medication called direct oral anticoagulants (such as rivaroxaban or apixaban)
  • People who are currently under detention or held by a legal or administrative order
  • People who are receiving involuntary psychiatric treatment
  • People who are living in a health or social care facility for reasons unrelated to this research
  • Adults who are under legal protection such as guardianship or a similar arrangement
  • People who are unable to give their own consent to participate
  • People under any form of legal protection measure (confirm with trial site)
