Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have brain scan (MRI) results showing what appears to be a high-grade brain tumour, and who are willing to have surgery if the initial tissue test during the operation confirms it is glioblastoma or gliosarcoma
  • People who have already been diagnosed with glioblastoma or gliosarcoma (confirmed by a previous tissue test) and are having surgery to remove a tumour that has come back
  • People aged 18 or older
  • People whose brain tumour (the contrast-enhancing area on the scan) measures at least 10 cc in volume on a detailed MRI taken within one month before surgery
  • People who have signed and dated a consent form agreeing to take part (or whose legal representative has done so on their behalf)

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have a medical condition, previous or current treatment, or abnormal test results that the treating doctor believes could affect the study results or would not be in the person's best interest (confirm with trial site)
