Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with "post-COVID-19 condition" as defined by the World Health Organization, meaning you still have symptoms at least 3 months after your COVID-19 infection that have lasted for at least 2 months and cannot be explained by another health condition, along with thinking or memory problems caused by COVID-19.
- Your general physical health is good, and recent lab tests (such as blood tests, urine tests, and a heart trace/ECG) all come back within normal ranges.
- You have enough education to communicate clearly and are able to complete the study tasks and assessments.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have a history of significant problems with blood flow to the brain (such as a stroke or related conditions).
- You score higher than 4 on a specific medical scale used to assess blood flow-related memory problems called the Hachinski Ischemic Score (confirm with trial site).
- You have a major brain, mental health, or other serious medical condition beyond the thinking/memory problems caused by long COVID.
- You are currently taking a medication called memantine (sometimes used for memory conditions).
- You have a current or past problem with misuse of alcohol or other substances.
- You experience symptoms such as false beliefs (delusions), seeing or hearing things that aren't there (hallucinations), or episodes of confusion (delirium).
- You have severe vision or hearing loss.
- You would be unable to follow the study's requirements and schedule.
