Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 years or older
- People who have tested positive for the hepatitis B surface antigen (a marker showing hepatitis B infection) for at least 6 months, with no other viral infections present at the start of the study
- People who have been diagnosed with NAFLD (a condition where excess fat builds up in the liver, unrelated to alcohol) through imaging scans, a liver biopsy, and/or blood tests

- People who have another chronic liver disease, such as liver disease caused by alcohol, other types of viral hepatitis, or liver damage caused by medication
- People who have been diagnosed with liver cancer or any other cancer before undergoing a liver biopsy
