Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who are willing and able to sign an informed consent form agreeing to take part in the trial.
• People aged 18 or older.
• People who have been diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer (a type of lung cancer) confirmed by a tissue or cell sample, and whose cancer has been staged as IIIB or IIIC (a locally advanced stage) using scans such as CT or PET-CT.
• People whose general physical fitness is rated as 0 or 1 on a standard medical scale, meaning they are either fully active or able to carry out light activity (confirm with trial site).
• People with a life expectancy of at least 12 weeks.
• People who have at least one area of cancer that can be measured on scans according to standard criteria.
• People whose liver, kidneys, blood, and other major organs are functioning well.
• People whose lung function is healthy enough to tolerate surgery.
• People whose cancer has not spread to distant parts of the body.
• Women who could become pregnant must agree to use effective contraception during the study and for at least 120 days after completing chemotherapy or the last dose of the study drug (whichever comes later), and must have a negative pregnancy test within 7 days before joining.
• Men who have not had sterilisation must agree to use effective contraception during the study and for at least 120 days after completing chemotherapy or the last dose of the study drug (whichever comes later).

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have previously received any cancer treatment for a thymic tumour (a type of chest tumour), including surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or experimental treatments.
• People with unstable or serious ongoing health conditions, such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, recent or ongoing chest pain (angina), heart failure, a heart attack within the past 6 months, serious heart rhythm problems, or significant liver, kidney, or metabolic disease.
• People with an active or suspected autoimmune disease, or a cancer-related condition affecting the immune system that requires ongoing systemic treatment.
• People who have a known allergy to the study drug or any of its ingredients.
• People who currently have a lung condition called interstitial lung disease (scarring or inflammation of the lungs).
• People with active hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or HIV infection.
• People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
• People with neurological or mental health conditions that would make it difficult to participate in the trial.
• People who are currently taking part in another treatment-based clinical trial.
• People who, in the opinion of the trial researchers, are not suitable for other reasons (confirm with trial site).
