Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with breast cancer and are scheduled to receive chemotherapy either before or after surgery
- You are 21 years of age or older
- You have been diagnosed with a solid tumour, such as head and neck cancer, lung/chest cancer, or breast cancer
- You are scheduled to receive at least one treatment of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or radiation therapy
- You are receiving your cancer care at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center
Who may not be able to join:
- You currently have a mouth condition such as mouth sores (oral mucositis) or a fungal mouth infection (oral thrush) that was found before the study begins
- You have a serious or unstable health condition that is not well controlled, such as an active infection, heart failure, unstable chest pain, irregular heartbeat, or a mental health or personal situation that might make it difficult to follow the study requirements
- Your doctor feels that, for any reason, you are not a suitable candidate to take part in this study (confirm with trial site)
