Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are 18 years of age or older.
  • People who have a history of low-grade, early-stage bladder cancer (meaning the cancer has not grown into the bladder muscle), where the most recent tissue test showed one of the following: multiple small tumours that are low grade; a single low-grade tumour larger than 3 cm; or a low-grade tumour that has come back after previous treatment.
  • People who are willing and able to follow all study procedures and attend appointments for the full duration of the study.
  • People whose most recent bladder camera examination (within the last 6 months after their last tumour removal) showed no sign of the cancer returning.
  • People who are able to give consent in English or Spanish.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have had their entire bladder surgically removed.
  • People who have had surgery to reroute how urine leaves the body (for example, through a pouch or tube created from bowel tissue).
  • People who have a history of bladder cancer that grew into the bladder muscle.
  • People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
  • People who have had cancer of the ureter or the part of the kidney that connects to the ureter, and were treated with a camera-based procedure, or who show signs the cancer has returned in those areas. (People who have had the full removal of the kidney and ureter and have no signs of cancer returning may still be considered — confirm with trial site.)
  • People whose anatomy makes it impossible to perform a bladder camera examination, for example due to removal of the urethra or a severely blocked urethra.
  • People who are unable to provide a urine sample by urinating into a container.
