Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have had surgery to remove non-small cell lung cancer, where the cancer was classified as stage IIA to IIIA after the operation
• People whose cancer type means targeted therapy drugs are not an appropriate treatment option for them
• People aged between 18 and 80 years old
• People who are able to recover from surgery within 3 to 8 weeks and begin follow-up treatment after the operation
• People whose general physical fitness is rated at 0 or 1 on a standard performance scale, meaning they are fully active or have only mild limitations on physical activity (confirm with trial site)
• People who have not received any chemotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer before joining the trial
• People whose blood test results within 7 days before joining meet all required levels, including healthy levels of white blood cells, platelets, haemoglobin, liver function markers, and kidney function markers
• Women who are post-menopausal, have had surgical sterilisation, or who are using effective contraception and are not breastfeeding
• Men who agree to use appropriate contraception during the trial

Who may not be able to join:

• People with a known or suspected allergy to the trial drug or any of its ingredients
• People whose cancer type means targeted therapy drugs are a suitable treatment option for them
• People who have had another cancer in the past five years, unless it was cervical carcinoma in situ that was fully treated, a skin basal cell carcinoma that was fully treated, or another cancer that was fully treated with surgery alone
• People who have had a heart attack or serious heart conditions in the six months before joining, or a new type of chest pain within the past three months, or a heart rhythm problem requiring medication
• People with high blood pressure that remains uncontrolled despite taking blood pressure medication (systolic at or above 140 mmHg or diastolic at or above 90 mmHg)
• People with a history of HIV infection, or who are currently in an active phase of hepatitis C or hepatitis B infection
• People where the research team has identified a risk of bleeding
• People with a serious active infection
• People with epilepsy that requires ongoing medication
• People who have received an organ transplant from another person
• People who require kidney dialysis
• People who have had a blood clot in a vein or artery in the six months before joining
• People with serious wounds, ulcers, or fractures that have not healed
• People with a condition affecting the lung tissue called interstitial pneumonia
• People with any condition that affects how the body absorbs food or medication
• People with any unstable health condition that could affect their safety
• People with substance misuse issues, or significant medical, psychological, or social conditions (confirm with trial site)
• People who have taken part in another clinical trial within 3 months before joining
• People who are pregnant or breastfeeding
